Injury Compensation

My 2 daughters and myself were in a car accident a couple of weeks ago. The other party have admitted full responsability. We are claiming injury compensation. About how long does it take for it to be settled.

Took me 6 years even though the other side admitted liability.

My friend is currently waiting for compensation for her injuries and has been waiting 4 years. Both sides need to know how well you will recover in the long term before settling.

well it used to be up to ten years
so the court reformss are doing very well

Took me about 2 years and was a very open and shut case. You have to go and see independent doctors, they need to get witness statements, they have to check that the injuries you're claiming for are showing the correct symptoms...etc etc...all takes time.

Took me around 4 years & 5 visits to see Doctors then they did not want to pay up i was lucky to have witnesses plus a good solicitor.

yes, i can only echo the others - it took my husband almost 4 years when some plonker knocked him off his motorbike, He hd to see independent doctors, plus a psychologist
