Was due to have my (very painful after watching tattoo fixers last night) tattoo tonight, but have been poorly again (note to self: leave the UK in Dec, Jan and Feb next time).. so I have had pause for thought.. was going to be a 'nape of the neck' affair, but was wondering if anyone had any other ideas for alternative locations... (it's a tiny shark (obviously)) . Thanks xx

Alternative locations ....... anywhere except on human skin.
:))
Just imagine how you'll look when you're 80 - with a tattoo!

I'm not getting to 80.. 50 max, big party, then off to Digitas....
Do not have tattoos ! I do not know anyone who has had one and has not lived to regret it , possibly years later.
( and I know quite a few who have them!)
Eddie, I have quite a few tattoos, I have had one cover up, I don't regret any of my tattoos and I know many tattooed people that don't regret a sing tattoo.

Hippyhoppy, tattoos aren't as painful as many would like you to believe, no great pain, In general I would say the pain is very tolerable, more very uncomfortable. The nape of your neck sounds good, also ankle or wrist or small of back are good for women.
How about on your back or shoulder so you can wear a strappy top to show it off, but also easily cover it up for work? If I were going to have one - I did think seriously about it some years ago- I'd have it on my upper left back.
'I have quite a few tattoos, I have had one cover up, I don't regret any of my tattoos'

Obviously apart from the one you've had covered up?

Why anyone would permanently disfigure their skin with irrelevant writing/drawings is beyond me

On your tongue ?
Anyone remember those transfer stickers you got with bubble gum, where you licked the back and stuck it on your arm. If I came home with one my mother would remove it with a scrubbing brush and Vim. Now that WAS painful!
Actually Joeluke, I don't regret the tat I got covered, it had just faded and no longer appropriate.
I don't regret any of mine either and I don't know of anyone who does. They all mean something. Thinking about another one too now. I won't get to 80 either and if I do, I'm not convinced I'll be too worried what they'll look like to other people!
