For example drink driving or speed awareness? Do the government and road safety charities do enough to raise awareness of danger on the roads? How do you feel about the change in frequency of these campaigns?
I can only cite the London area. TfL often promote speed awareness, on TV, particularly of motorcycles when pulling out of junctions and of course lorry drivers turning and taking out cyclists who creep up their blind spots.
Capital Radio will warn about D/D but mainly building up to Christmas.
I would sooner see more traffic officers on the roads advising errant motorits than poster campaigns. Advise, caution and then prosecute as a last resort.
That was the most effective Road Collision deterrent.Of course it costs more money!!
An inadequate poll. What do you mean by "... used to be ..." ? - last year, the noughties, the nineties, the eighties, the seventies, the sixties, the fifties --- answers will no doubt be skewed by responders' ages.

:) Same, to be honest.

I feel that there was more under the Labour government particularly?
I think there was more point to TV advertising before people could ad skip, pause live TV and so on.
I've not paid attention to such things, but feel there is less teaching of the young to be responsible pedestrians and not expect motorists to cover for reckless kerb drill/green cross code/whatever and treat drivers with disdain. A few more school oriented instruction classes wouldn't go amiss.

The Government want to bring a Firm, fixed, penalty for drivers caught using their mobiles whilst driving, 1 year ban, £1000 fine.

The distance drivers are apart on Motorways in the lanes they are using.

Why do accidents Happen? they don't, they are caused, look into the cause.

The money they used to spend on this now goes to the incessant radio adverts for the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

If Mr Osborne wants to save money, he should look into that.
a lot less, can't remember much since Darth Vader!
