I have just installed Kaspersky Total Security 2016, replacing the 2015 version. Since doing this, my keyboard has become very slow. By this I mean that I am typing at my normal speed, but often the words have lots of letters missing, like the keyboard cannot keep up with the speed I am typing. I have only had this problem since installing the new version of Kaspersky. It's driving me nut having to keep going through what I have typed, including this post, and having to make corrections. Can anyone suggest a fix please?

I meant to add that I have googled for any info on this, but no luck.
Presume you are experiencing this problem within your Firefox browser running in Windows 8.1 and have already tried a PC restart?

If so, as a test try using a different browser such as Windows Internet Explorer or you could consider installing a different browser, for example Opera http://www.opera.com.

If a different browser works ok, try uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox.

Also check that the only Anti-virus that is running is Kaspersky and that the Windows 8 default Windows Defender service is disabled. See http://www.guidingtech.com/10154/disable-windows-8-defender-before-installing-antivirus/
Kaspersky has a customer service department. They are good at fixing issues. Probably some contention somewhere. Contact them, it's what you pay for.
It might be performing an initial indexing scan. Avg used to do that.

My thanks to all. TTG may be right in that when I came back on to my emails etc today, things had improved a lot. It still misses the odd letter so I will also try a different browser and also try reinstalling Firefox. How do I uninstall/reinstall it? Thanks
Couldn't just be a problem with the keyboard I suppose, is it a remote one that needs batteries from time to time?
The following info includes instructions on how to uninstall / reinstall Firefox. It also discusses how to carry out a Firefox refresh which you should try doing initially.

Thanks Pinkyboyid.

Thanks for suggestions and link
Have just tried a firefox refresh, but it made the problem worse. I'll try using a different browser suggested earlier, ahead of then trying a Firefox uninstall/Install

I've just downloaded Opera browser and can report that typing an email in Yahoo was a dream. Clearly my problem lies with Firefox, so I'll now try uninstall/install. Having said that, maybe I will now use Opera. Can favourites be transferred somehow from one browser to another? Thanks
Good to hear that another Browser works ok for you.

If you want to transfer Firefox Bookmarks to Opera see the instructions at: http://help.opera.com/Windows/12.10/en/importexport.html
