Well what, you're wondering......
A month or so ago I sent for a ukulele and tuner as a Christmas gift....the uke arrived but not the little tuner.....I was a bit miffed.....and nobody could trace it.....
About the same time I found a charity shop bargain and broke the habit of a lifetime by buying a brand new curtain for across the front door....good price and perfect colour....
I bought a pole, hung the curtain and, short of time....pinned up the foot that was too long till I could hem it...
And today was the hemming day.....and what did I find inside the hem?
You've got it....the tuner!
It had come through the letter box, dropped into the hem and has spent the best part of three weeks swinging to and fro across the door......☺

Very funny story Gness. :) Reminds me of something which happened many years ago - a blind girl was sitting in our church next to a friend. She had had a false eye fitted and her friend noticed with concern it had dropped out. She told her blind friend and with everyone's help (including me and OH) we searched high and low for the eye ......
It was found much much later in the turnup hem of her friend's trousers! :)

Oh, Ann........you've given me memories of my mother......she took me to mass when I was little and lost the crucifix from her rosary beads...
We couldn't find it in the church and light dawned on her.....
She pointed to one of the men hanging about having an after mass ciggie....he had been next to us in the pew.....and made me go and ask him to search his turnups for a crucifix.....I can still see the puzzled look on his face.....x
