Hi I got 5 down as irreverence but when I put 8 across in take to ones heels,it takes the second letter of 5 across leaving i-revere-nt,have worked through books for answers and my oxford machine.also if I put in 15 across four stringed instrument as viola the third letter from the bottom of irreverence instead of N becomes i.
This makes flee 's answer unstable (take to ones heels)although all the reference books state that and the numbering is correct(4,2,4,5)so I am completely stuck dont know where else to find and answer,so hoping I have made a mistake and that you clever people can help,its so frustrating

5d was disrespectful I think I'll be sending mine without finishing,have burnt the midnight oil! I really dislike not being able to crack it,in my past life I was a chartered accountant and end up asking questions on nearly everything.

just seen scorpiojo,I think I overegged the pudding looked at Make instead of take and every other way of changing the various words.Thank you so much,you can see why I recently retired my grey matter has gone,I thought when shopping,got back couldnt find my purse,rang the shop nothing cancelled all my cards,two days later I found it in the freezer.
