My hotmail which I found easy to work with has just been "upgraded" to outlook live and I can't figure it out. Anybody else confused by it? Wish I could get the old hotmail back.

The 'upgrade' from Hotmail to Outlook was officially completed in April 2013, so you seem to be behind the times!

Howver, any 'upgrade' from Microsoft inevitably means that simple tasks are made far harder. I suggest forgetting about Hotmail/Outlook altogether and swithing to a decent, reliable and intuitive email service:
http://www.gmx.co.uk/
(By using the 'Mail Collector' facility you can get mail sent to your old Hotmail/Outlook address automatically forwarded to your new GMX one, so the transition is really easy).

I opened a gmx account and opened the mail collector option. Unfortunately when I entered my hotmail/outlook details it didn't recognise them. Then I got an email in outlook saying an unknown party was trying to access my account. I then had to "prove" who I was and verify it was me trying to access the account from another site. Anyway I'm working on it and thanks for your answer.
