I've noticed this year every other advert is an appeal to give money, £19 for a meal and a shower for a homeless person, £22 for someone to keep Mabel company at Christmas, do they think we're made of money?

Thanks. Do you think UNICEF might provide me with an en-suite if I send them a letter. My downstairs toilet is quite clean but it is unsafe getting up in the night to negotiate those steep stairs in the dark. :-(
It is important to help buy meals for the poor who have spent all their money on cigarettes.
May be a bit of a generalisation there, beso.

Perhaps but take a look at who smokes and you will find it is largely the uneducated who can least afford the expense.
They were asking for £20 to provide a double cataract operation in Africa not long ago . Rather than wait 12 month or more I paid the thick end of £1600 for one. Should have gone to Africa got a nice tan as well. Still waiting for the other to be done.
