I would like to log on and see pictures of my grandchildren
as the background ( is this called the Wall?)

Can someone explain in simplistic terms how I can do this?

Apologies if this is a 'dumb' question

If Windows, right click on the desktop and choose the personalise option from the menu that pops up. In the settings window that appears should be the setting for selecting the picture you want as background/wallpaper - that settings window is slightly different for different versions of Windows.

It's not wallpaper you need ... it's an 'Avatar' .. type that into the search box at the top of the page and you will find the info telling you what to do.

I didn't know it was wall paper but I've been able to transfer pictures
of the family.
Hi Toalisi
Do you have Picasa3 on your PC ? If not then google it and download it, it's free and a very good prog. Once installed and you have your pictures on there, look along the top and you will see a button labelled CREATE. Select the picture you want as desktop, click on CREATE and then SET AS DESKTOP, hey presto you have a new desktop piccy. Hope this helps.

bibs has it right here....it really is as simple as that !

I have a picture of my Willy as wallpaper !
Didn't need to know that Mikey ;-).

I use a "screen saver" called "Nostalgia" that is part of the windows package.

It isn't "Wallpaper" but I set it to run at small intervals. You can set it to select pictures from whatever folder you choose. I see lots of photo's of my kids and they change every minute or so. Your choice how often they change.
When looking at the picture in Windows Explorer all you have to do is right click on the picture and select "Set as desktop background".
