If you feel the contact order is inappropriate, you can ask your solicitor to apply to have it challenged.

It will depend on the availability in the court calendar, and of course, it will cost in terms of your solicitor and court fees.

Good luck.

i dont have a solicitor i represented myself, there is no charge for me to take it back to court either
Why not phone the court office and ask if it is possible? But remember the 'other side' ( your ex) has to attend court as well. If a new date is possible it has to be one that is acceptable to you, the court and the 'other side'.
Personally I would try hard to rearrange other things so as to be available for the date you have been given. It could take several weeks even months to get a new date as courts can be fully booked.
or alternatively you could write to the clerk of the court
with your reasons
and ask for another date

andI am not surprised you are not represented - the going rate for a lawyer for a hearing is between two and four thou
