Was it a stag party prank that went wrong? One Saturday morning, early, I went out for walkies and there, tied/chained to a lampost was a very drunk and very naked young man. He was due to get married later that day.(lucky lady!!) Hope he sobered up in time. I had to phone for help, police came along took charge and after having a good laugh(and who could blame them)...

most likely stag prank..see that in Edinburgh often !
Sounds like that to me too.
Shed more light? He was stuck to a lamppost - how much light do you need?

hee hee wolf..happens in Perth too !!!
We miss out on most of that stuff due to not being a university city.

I think that there must be a thin line between having fun and being a stupid eejit. The line gets blurrier as the amount of alcohol consumed increases.

Salutation Hotel has some rowdy stags though !
I live not too far from there but double glazing cuts out most of the noisy stuff. We are such a small city and, compared to big cities, nothing much happens. Most crimes are fuelled by alcohol or drugs.

Going out in the freezing cold with only a shirt on seems to still be in favour.

I hope he or his friends made a donation to the fire brigade, as they could have been somewhere on a serious incident?

I never thought of a 'stag prank'. Seems most likely. You'd think it would say 'chained to lamp-post' or some such.
'leg stuck on lamppost' makes me think that superglue was involved
