My Twin Is Home...

At 3 weeks old my twin boy has finally been discharged after open heart surgery and is fully expected to be perfectly normal. Now the fun begins with 2 newborns and a rowdy toddler!

It's so amazing what can be done these days. To think how small some of the blood vessels around the heart must have been and yet they tied each one off individually. Thank God for the NHS eh?

I had a lot of scans as it was a twin pregnancy and this defect wasn't spotted st any of them. I have decided to see the positive in this tho, if I'd have known I would have had months of anguish, and ultimately it wouldn't have changed the outcome. Although I guess we would have been better prepared.
