The Fall of the House of Usher was very scary!
Ahhhhhggg, and the House on haunted hill !!!!!!!!!
Was Premature Burial one of them?

Edgar Allan Poe. Very chilling!
Yeah, I remember that, Yilly. Wasn't there a bell attached to the grave ?.
I think there was, Yont.

I can't remember whether I read it or saw it televised. We 'did' E.A.P. at school. Gothic literature and all that.
Wasn't Premature Burial an old Ray Milland film?
May have been, Sir A.
Good, I haven't imagined it then! I seem to remember him overacting most dreadfully. Wasn't his wife and her lover trying to scare him to death, or something? They showed him a family vault with fingernail scratches on the inside of the door, 'cause he was morbidly afraid of being buried alive. I last saw that in the '70's - I think!
Remember this Edgar Alan Poe classic ?.

I do, Yont. The Spanish Inquisition!
I loved Theatre of Blood and Masque of the Red Death, both with Vincent Price. He did all the E.A.P stuff. I particularly liked the ones with Peter Lorre as his side-kick, The Raven and Comedy of Terrors.
Terrifying films when I was a kid, Sir A.
I used to watch Quatermass and the Pit through my fingers. That scared me to death.
A bit like the Torch that, Yilly. A bit before my time ;-)
