Would a talk talk phone be compatible on an NTL line?

I'm thinking of getting something like this:

Would it be ok with NTL as my phone provider?

I'm pretty sure Talk Talk and all the similar ones are for BT lines only. They "lease" BT lines, but cannot lease cable.
