My nephew was in a tv show with John Thaw, sadly his father died whilst filming. John Thaw sent flowers to his mum and was so generous and kind to the whole family

I knew someone who was an extra in that episode and he is 5'4". He commented on how nice to was to meet someone (John Thaw) who was shorter than him

I don't care what any web site says (actors probably lie about their height as well as their age) - I was standing face to face with him and I am a pretty good judge of heights. He was no more 5'8 or 5'9 than I am the Queen of Sheba

Talking about heights of famous people, I walked past Lleyton Hewitt, the Aussie tennis player, at Wimbledon once. He was surprisingly small. I was wearing 3 inch heels, and am 5'2". He was nose to nose with me, but he is described on the tennis websites as being 5'9" or 10" I think.
