Does anyone know if radio programmes will be able to be downloaded onto a computer so they can be tansferred to an mp3 player or voice recorder. The new app is fine downloading to a phone or tablet but only lasts 30 days ,.I want to be able to download programmes onto a computer then transfer to my voice recorder , any suggestions welcome

I'm not sure that it's important now but I see that I posted the same link twice above. The second one should be : http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tutorial_recording_computer_playback_on_windows.html You don't have to be around when the programme is originally aired though. You can play it on your computer at any time during the 30-day period...

Licensing restrictions prevent the BBC from making their programmes available on a 'permanent download' basis.

The only way around it is to play the program on your computer and record its output. The most commonly used program for that task is Audacity:

Thankyou for the info would be good as long as you always around to tape the programme when it airs but that s not always possible, if only you could transfer from phone to computer problem solved! thankyou for taking the time much appreciated

You don't have to be around when the programme is originally aired though. You can play it on your computer at any time during the 30-day period and record it as an MP3 (using Audacity) simultaneously.

(Note that licensing restrictions mean that, in its native form, Audacity can't save files into MP3 format. However that's easy to overcome: http://audacityteam.org/help/faq_i18n?s=install&i=lame-mp3 )
