When is this wind going to die down - its been crashing around for hours and I've lost 5 peaches off my tree, which has really pee'd me off....

Kate - there are weather warnings being issued for wind
Gale force SW Winds with waves crashing on the shore for today Monday.
The downside is the damage it causes to property etc.
We had wind and showers yesterday. Today it is raining constantly but not windy, so far.

I think on Tuesday and wednesday it might get up a bit according to BBC weather down in central london. We've gotten off quite lightly I think.
I have experienced quite a few Hurricanes/Typhoons during my time at sea.
Today is like a gentle Breeze WelshYorkie !! lol

i'm in a green bit but its very windy and its making lots of weird noises
I'm listening to the wind howling and the waves crashing on the breakwater - we've had rain every day since May began. My newspaper is warning me of a record-breaking hot summer/drought/hosepipe ban/crop failure/end of the world by August (well, not quite) - can we have some sunshine please?
We are having a tree taken out at the end of the week,if the high winds carry on this
way we can save ourselves £200 because the wind will blow it down.
A good Summer is on the way for everyone, we deserve it after the hard Winter we had this Year.
I'm in the orange bit. It is a howling gale here.

It played havoc with my hair when I went out :-(
