Vinopolis is a London visitor attraction that presents the subject of wine and oenology through exhibits, including wine tasting. It is located at Bankside, to the east of Southwark Bridge and close to London Bridge on the south side of the River Thames. Vinopolis is devoted to the world of wine, including its history, development and taste.

There is an attached restaurant, Cantina Vinopolis, and wine is also available for sale at the attached store. The 2.5 acre site within the arches of a Victorian railway viaduct was founded in 1999 as a unique experience dedicated to the world of wine and its associated pleasures.

Vinopolis was developed by a wine merchant called Duncan Vaughan-Arbuckle who, after speaking with his clients, realised that there was considerable interest in the making and enjoyment of wines. He chose a site beneath the arches of a Victorian railway viaduct, which was built in 1866 by the South-eastern Railway Company who wanted to carry an extension line from London Bridge Station over the Thames to the north bank.

Comprised of themed sections representing the main wine producing regions of the world, the Wine Tour offer a unique opportunity to explore wines and spirits of the world all under one roof, all tour ticket also includes a Bombay Sapphire cocktail in the Bombay Sapphire Blue Room.

Vinopolis is ideal for all types of events such as Hen and Stag parties, dinners, award ceremonies, product launches and exhibitions.

With the Vinopolis Wine Tour on site it is possible to easily combine a conference or corporate event with any one of the team building activities available including, wine challenges, cocktail and whisky master classes and cooking events.
