Thanks for all the help, has helped a lot
If you head to Union Square there are a couple of Lori`s Diners around. They`re 1950s style diners and they do easy things like chilli and some pretty good breakfasts. In the big Nordstrom mall at the bottom on Market Street there is a food court where you can get cheap quick snacks.
if breakfast isn't included in your room rate, it's often a lot cheaper to eat at a diner, or a chain like Dennys, if there are any handy (this goes for all cities).
Except for Los Angeles, there should be hundreds of places within walking distance in Las Vegas and San Francisco. The older part of Las Vegas, the Fremont area, has a lot of older casinos and they all have places to eat. In San Francisco, you probably can't go more then a block or so and find 3 or 4 places to eat. In China Town, look for small hole in the wall places with Chinese people eating there and you will probably have excellent food and reasonable prices.
