Need to book a train from stansted to leicester for March. Does anyone know if allowing 2 hours between landing and train departure is long enough as I have no experience of stansted airport at all. Thanks

Should be enough but not guaranteed.

Cheap tickets for March are not available yet (except the very beginning) so you may have to wait a week or so to get a good price
My experience of Stansted is that it usually takes about 10 minutes from landing to get to passport control. It usually takes 5 to 10 minutes to get through there, but I've known it take up to 40 minutes. From there it's only a few minutes to the rail platform. So I reckon that you've got at least a spare hour built into your schedule.

as long as you don't have bags to pick up Chris?
Whenever I've passed through the bag collection area, Prudie, people who've got off the same flight as me have simply grabbed their bags from the carousel and walked through the green channel alongside me. (i.e. their luggage has reached the baggage hall before they have).
Stansted as an Airpot - so true - is it full of airheads...?
Depends whether your flight lands on time.........................

Thanks everyone for your time, prices look really good so will be keeping my eyes open for when the March fares become available, was just a bit worried in case we missed the train and then have to pay excessive prices for the trip home.
At certain times eg Sunday evenings, there are many flights coming in at roughly the same time, and that means that the queues to get through passport control are very long and it takes some time.
