sounds reasonable - you'll probably spend £50-£100 a night for dinner for all of you, depending on how well you like to dine (Turkish cuisine is wonderful). Add in more for lunch and drinks during the day if you're there at a hot time of year.As for the rest, it'll depend where you're going - if you're on a beach you might want to do a local excursion or two; if you're in Istanbul there's lots to see.
I wouldnt take an amount of cash to possibly lose or get the amount wrong so have loads left over. I would take some foreign currency and a cash card and a credit card. Less room for losing it or taking too much or too little.
Or take travellers cheques or a travel cash card. If either are lost or stolen replacements can be obtained very quickly (at least in the case of travellers cheques), which cash can't!
The Post Office do a travle money card

and will also be able to order travellers cheques and cash for you. It's always a good idea to take some cash with you for immediate use.
