never been there myself but OH went a few years ago and although he said it seemed like a nice country, his opinion was tainted by a lot of begging and he was mugged!

yeah ive read that can happen, we plan to stay put in the resort as we;ve got young kids. if it was just us two, we'd probably wander about more.

i think thats the best thing to do. ive been to north african countries where theres a lot of begging, hounding, etc, you know the type. it can be so intimidating and quite scary, so i definitely agree its better to stay in your resort!
