I am off to Cancun in a while and I was wondering could someone answer a few questions for me? Firstly what is generally the best currency to take? Is it Pesos or Dollars? Necxt what sort of electricity voltage is it? Does anyone know anywhere I could watch the world cup final? Finally what is the best Mossie repellent you can get as my fiancee always gets eaten alive?

pesos is the local currency; dollars are acceptable most places, but in effect you'll be changing currency twice (if you're going from Britain), into dollars then into pesos, and losing a bit both times.

Best mossie repellent is usually anything with deet in it, the more the better.

As Mexico are in the Word Cup my guess is there will be places everywhere showing all the matches. :-)

Wait till you ge there and see what your footbal your hotel is showing. I am sure every hotel will be showing it.
Anything containing Deet is generally the best repellent. I did go to Cancun in 2001 but I cannot for the life of me remember about voltage. I took Pesos if I remember rightly. Have a good trip.
I took both dollars and pesos....not too sure about the mozzies though, we didnt take any repellent they never bit us but we did take the oral tablets you have to take (they taste foul) so I dont know if this has something to do with the fact they never bothered us - I cant even remember seeing them (must have been too much tequilla) and as for the world cup I suggest head for Senor Frogs or something like that......maybe your hotel will have it on too.....have a great time its an amazing place :-)
