Boyfy n I will soon be leaving the sunshine behind for a bit of stability in the UK (thanks to the in-laws) and instead of flying back we wanted to take our time n travel by sea. As neither of us drive we'd need passage from Malaga or Gibraltar and only really want a lil cheap ferry/cruise crossing. I am having real trouble finding anything on the internet as everything relates to a full on 2 week plus cruise or a cruise starting FROM Southampton so I'm now asking Answerbank.
Does anyone know of any sites or companies that could help us?

Thanks in advance.

there aren't any scheduled passenger ships from southern Spain to the UK; you could try approaching a company that sells passenger space on freight ships - have a look at http://www.seat61.com/links.htm#freight%20ship

alternatively, take a train from Malaga to Madrid and onward to Bilbao, dep Malaga 12h05 arr Bilbao 21h11 (there are earlier services requiring more than one change, check http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en for details) - then take P&O's cruise ferry from Bilbao to Portsmouth, dep 13h15 every 3rd day, and arrive approx 17h30 the next day. Check http://www.poferries....le_timetable_POBI.htm for sailing dates.
You might find a cruise company prepared to offer you a one way trip. I doubt if you'll find anything on line - you'd need to contact them direct, as it would be a 'one off' to fill an otherwise empty cabin.
