sending small package overland from UK to Indonesia

Hi, I'm not sure whether this is the right forum for me to ask for help/information.

I would like to send a package of clothes to Indonesia. I know where to send packages by air but it is very expensive.

Is there anybody there who knows what delivery/courier services that send packages to Indonesia either by sea or overland. I don't mind if it will take few weeks to get to destination as long as it is reasonable price (I mean cheap but guarantee my package will arrive at destination safely).

For your information, the weight of my package is about 9kg with dimension 50cm wide x 70cm long x 50cm long.

You can send stuff surface through the post office, I have done this, have a look at
http://www.royalmail....0037&keyname=SURFMAIL but there is a limit of 2kg per parcel. Oherwise try people like DHL?

Been to post office to find out price and they quoted me it would cost around £90 (surface) and there is no compensation.

I usually sent small packages (up tp 2kg) with them by airmail service but because this time Imy pakcage is much larger that's why I want to send it via surface.

I have sent stuff to and from Australasia and found that the Post Office are the cheapest option – you will pay more for courier services or any of the freight forwarding companies.

£90 sounds about right for the size/weight you plan to send - alternatively split the package into 2kg lots.

I work in a Post Office and can say that Hymie is right. If you split the package into smaller ones, none of which weigh more than 2kg it will be a LOT cheaper, usually about half as much.
