it's only a short walk from the Strand Palace to Piccadilly Circus. Approx 5 -10 minutes depending on your footwear.
Your hotel will be able to help you.

Very many thanks
Hi Sydmayne. Come out of the hotel, turn right, walk along the strand to trafalgar sq. Walk across sq to Leicester sq and The Circus is right there. If you wait for a bus, it'll probably take you much longer. I do the walk from the strand to The Circus quite often. Have a good time in London
6, 9, 13, 15, 23 and 139 should do it - west along the Strand and up Lower Regent St. Bus stops in central London should all have little plans on them showing which route is taken by each bus that uses the stop, along with a screen telling you how long the next one on each route will be. They don't take money in central London so you'll need to prepay - Oyster card, travelcard, or buy a ticket at the machine at the stop.

But as others have said it's quite a short (and interesting) walk.
sydmayne: maybe someone already told you about this great site, but if not:
for ALL your transportation questions in London there is nothing better than the Journey Planner at
http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/user/XSLT_TRI P_REQUEST2?language=en

It has every possible answer in every possible form (written, mapped, etc) and covers public transport, walking, driving and probably even telporters once they're available.
An absolute joy to use.
