Florida on a Budget?

Hi all,
I am absolutely desperate to go to Florida in the next couple of weeks. I went this time last year with my parents, sister and boyfriend and had the greatest time. My family don't want to go back so soon, but I'm trying to persuade my boyfriend to come. We've just bought our first flat together, so money is a bit of an issue. The BF has agreed that we can go, as long as I can get it down to a decent price (about 800 each for flights, accommodation, car hire and Disney tickets). It's proving a bit of a problem and I wondered if anyone had any tips? I guess Florida isn't really the sort of holiday that you can do on a budget, but I'm hoping there'll be a way. I'm finding that it's the Disney tickets that is a huge chunk of the cost at 235 for a 7-day pass. Does anyone know where you can get these cheaper? Also we're considering connecting flights into Washington as a cheaper option. Never done this before, so I'm a little concerned about our luggage ending up in the same place as us! Any advice guys?

One of the ways to try bringing down the cost of flights is on US Airways. They have a hub in Charlotte and it used to be possible to do Gatwick-Charlotte, Charlotte-Orlando cheaply. Adds about 2 hours minimum to overall flight time though.
Cant help
But I can understand your enthusiasm to go back

Florida is one of my favourite destinations
If you had booked it way in advance you would have found it cheaper. You've chosen the worst time to book last minute.

We're going in September now, as I've just been scheduled for an operation at the beginning of June and don't want to spend the entire holiday worrying about it. Will start looking now for a good deal.
