Can somebody tell me how I can get from Orlando to New Smyrna Beach without a car? Taxi is an option but I know it is practically 60 miles each way, so a cheaper option is preferred. Is ground transportation (buses and trains) frequent and reliable here?

Hiring a car is not an option for a couple of reasons, so please don't suggest it.

Greyhound http://www.greyhound.com/home/ have 6 daily buses from Orlando to Daytona Beach, journey 1h15m.

From there either take a cab, or a local "Voltran" bus.
