Self-Catering Holiday in France

Does anyone have any ideas for a reasonably priced self-catering holiday in France (gite or the like)? A minimum of three of us would like to travel by train to somewhere pitturesque in late September.

No nightlife, very quiet, very picturesque, near the train station, near the quiet town and some beautiful walks. Friendly, well run site - form personal experience

This is my fave site in France. Near Meaux famous for it's brie. Nr Fontainebleau chateaux. Near to Paris.

And exactly a 10 minute walk from the train station down peaceful country roads
