Would you be spooked if you had to spend a night there by yourself? Would you go and explore?
When I was wee, my grand parents had a huge house, with some "guest" rooms that were hardly ever used and to me, were REALLY spooky! And I was made to sleep in one of them when I was visiting my dad after the divorce. I NEVER slept a wink in that room, I always run to my older brother's room and he'd let me sleep in his bed, bless!

Have you ever been really spooked?

Seen a few ghosts, they don't bother me.

So no, it wouldn't be a problem for me to sleep there. :-)

I think now, being a bit more grown up (!), it would interest me more than it would spook me. Unfortunately, this house was sold too. So was my childhood home.

But I will go back, and have a "tour", even if I have to ask and get some weird looks! lol
i am 58 and i would cack myself.

I've got "what lies beneath" in the background, and that's what made me think of it! lol

This house belonged to my great aunt and uncle. It was cold and creepy when inhabited during the day, let alone at night.

I have had a few really spooky incidents and a few at my aunts house. The worse thing that happened there, and we have been aware for some time that none of the children from 18 months up have ever liked being upstairs without the comfort of an adult, was when my son had gone upstairs to get something and got waylaid and distracted and started to play. All of a sudden we heard a massive scream (from my normally unspookable son) and he came pegging it down the stairs. He didnt like what the people were saying to him in Sally's bedroom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course there was noone up there.
I have always wanted to do a haunted weekend somewhere. I'm sure there is something in my bedroom though. My cat keeps looking at the wall behind my bed in a wide-eyed manner. Freaks me out a bit as I live on my own.

Oh dear, that picture sent shivers down my spine Goodsie!
saw that in the cinema originally Max,and it really spooked me. Due to many long years of horror films !!...The idea of a victorian mansion makes me run a mile lol
This is a good night to curl up in bed and read ghost stories.....I love reading them!

what did you see in the cinema Linda? That pic?
Oh max!!!!!!!!! Lol. You'd die of fright in our house hun!!! It's similar to how you describe above - AND haunted, whether you believe in that sort of thing or not!!! x

Lol Icey! I'd probably do something unmentionable to my underpants, that's for sure!

My grand-mother, whose house it was, told me I had "it" before she died though. I'v no idea what "it" was, but I know I have felt "things" before. My grandma could cure burns, weird! I burnt myself once with my mum's iron when I was 3 (I climbed on tne irnoning board, and the iron fell on my hand), and she took me to my grandma immediately. There was no mark left after an hour. Can' t explain it! lol
Oh I just meant I saw that film in the cinema Max and it really spooked me at the time. However...I've definetely been genuinely freaked by other weird happenings !!
Your grandmother probably meant that you were able to heal, or communicate with spirits - which is wonderful!
Right at this moment, the wind's howling round the top of the house and up and around the chimney. We have a big open fireplace in the room I'm in, and tbh - it doesn't sound too "healthy" when we get wind like this. Oh dear - lol!!! That last bit sounded alright, didn't it!!!! xx

I think it's the healing bit she meant Ice. Unfortunately, she died before I could ask anything. She kept telling me I was the only one left, and I have to transmit "it", but I still have no idea what she was talking about! lol Bless her though. xxx
I always get really weird dreams, like last night I dreamt I had some dodgy 'power' of seeing when people were going to die and in my dream I tried to turn it off, but it wouldn't go away. I woke up in a cold sweat and couldn't get back to sleep! I'm still awake now!

I *think* I've seen a ghost once, but I was walking with my Mam up a main street, where I live and I said something like 'Hey look at the woman near the tree, isn't she dressed in really old fashioned clothes' to which my Mam replied 'Theres nobody near that tree' Ick!
Max..I'm fascinated by all your Grandma stuff :-).Must hear some more about that. But...have to go to bed now ;-) Night xx
My gran and mum used to read the tea leaves. Mum saw my 2nd hubby, said he had dark hair, tall and quiet and olive skin, true!. Gran and my mum used to do the oija board. Gran had a boarding house when she was younger and she summoned the spirit of a swedish sailor! She used to heal people, how I dont know. Her house was really creepy and we kids were never allowed upstairs as there were "People from the other side" as mum used to put it.
