Has anybody? I hope to next year - no guests, just my partner and I. Can anybody give me any tips / advice about how to go about it, and keeping the cost as low as possible. Thanks.

I've been to a wedding in fiji and all i can say is, its amazing. Sory but can't offer any tips other thatn enjoy yourself and don't use your credit card too much.
Do you particularly want to go to Jamaica because personally I think you'll find the locals too much "in your face" . There are much better places in the Caribbean such as Barbados, Aruba, St Maarten. The easiest and the least stressful way of getting married is on a cruise ship. Carnival Cruise lines will marry you on board in Miami for around US$ 1000 if it's just the 2 of you. You book it and they take care of everything. No stress. Also Princess Cruises will marry you at sea and you still get to see the Caribbean. Contact Alex at Cruises n' More in the USA - you'll get a very good price on the cruise - probably around 250 less than you would pay with a UK agent.
