My sisters were traveling in Paris last weekend and managed to lose their digital camera somewhere between the Louvre and The Arc de Triumph. None of us speak French and my sisters have since left and are back here in London. How can we contact the Lost property department/police and speak to someone in English. Has anyone actually done this as we have done internet searches for phone numbers and we don't seem to be able to get through to anyone.
Thanks

This may be of interest to you, but I don't think it will be of much use:

Did they lose the camera on the Metro?
You should have reported it while in Paris. Police would have got you an English speaker. We had our bag lifted while we were in Nice several years ago and they were very hepful( didn't get it back though) Try the french embassy here or the tourist board. Good Luck
