No dogs are allowed on the majority of Dorset's beaches between May 1st and the 30th September, there are exceptions. Shell Bay and South Beach (Poole) .Dogs are allowed all year round if owner cleans up and they (the dogs, not the owner ;-) ) are kept on a lead.

This gives more detailed info concerning our beaches:Between May 1st and September 30th dogs are not permitted on certain areas of the beach. These areas are: Between groynes 4 and 5 at Alum Chine; from the Durley Chine entrance to Fisherman's Walk; and between groynes 42 and 44 at Southbourne.
Have a great holiday!
Relating to dogs in the New Forest, just returned from a holiday there last week and my puppy picked up only one tick, she is treated with Frontline but that "super tick from Europe "has caused my dog to develop an autoimmune disease, very serious, so check your dog everytime you go out into the forest. Does anyone have any experience of Autoimmune Hemolytic Anaemia in a dog? If so please get in touch. Thanks
