I enjoy the drive down the A49 instead of doing the motorway stuff down the M6/M5. It's a nice drive, with a stop at The Old Station, Tintern. That's when I'm going to Devon.

It depends on what kind of things you find scenic. For example I find it very difficult to look at scenes of all green, I much prefer landscapes with water in them be It a pond, the sea, or whatever. Therefore I would probably say Cornwall

This question could stir up quite some difference in views, especially between the constituent-countries. I've lived in the UK my whole life, went to University in the North, worked in the midlands and London. I like to travel when I can in the UK and hike in all-weathers. Edinburgh is very up there, Cornwall too, Cardiff on the outskirts, outer-hebrides in Scotland. Very difficult to pick just one but I remember being very impressed with Symonds Yat when visiting the area in the early Sixties.
