Are unvaccinated Brits allowed to enter France?

Not asking for myself but for a friend who refuses to be vaccinated. We're both doubly vaccinated.

? i dont get it - you first say its for a friend who's unvaccinated, but then say "we're both doubly vaccinated"
The UK is currently on France's amber list. Unvaccinated travellers from amber countries are only permitted to enter France for essential reasons.

My wife and I are both doubly vaccinated. I am asking the question on behalf of a friend who isn't and doesn't want to be. Sorry for the confusion.
^^^ I assume, Bednobs, that MWG14 means that he and his partner are both fully vaccinated but that their friend (who perhaps might be hoping to join them on holiday) isn't.
Crossed posts!

Sorry!
either - - - no
or tell him to do the experiment by travelling to the border....
Normally, no and quite right too, I don't normally praise the firesides but they are bang on here. Last thing we need is the THB travelling about.

We're too old to travel abroad any more. The friend and his wife are planning to go to France shortly in a camper van and eventually buy property there to set up a B&B.
