Everything that can go wrong does
I ordered one sale item shirt told order not gone through I reordered only for first to go through also. Received and charged for both. Now got email they are sending third at full price!

Bought a HP printer in July - great at first but now clearly faulty despite ‘help’ from their assistant online
Of course it’s near impossible to find a UK address or phone number to arrange a refund

And don’t get me started on problems with Scottish Power, British Gas or SSE!
I feel like banging my head against a brick wall and if any of those companies had an address nearby I’d choose their walls

I have a theory about your problem, Ric.ror. Companies that used to rely on customers ordering online - or by similar means - were efficient. Customer got what customer ordered. If there was any need for customer to get in touch with company, easy-peasy. Just pick up the phone and speak to a real person, who knew what customer wanted and could sort it out. But...

british gas, one of the biggest companies in the uk and they can't sort out my online login so i can pay my bill . . .
I'm having huge problems with Scottish Power, been going on for 10 months and I'm finding it very stressful.
Send the shirts back as soon as possible - tell the retailer you are returning them and use tracking if you are using the post office.

Your printer. Has it been for repair? I ask because it will make a difference as to what you claim and who from.

Scottish power claimed my energy requirements despite me telling British Gas TWICE that I did not want to leave them

The printer problems have been an on going issue -and despite contacting HP’s online assistance and having a call from someone in a far away land - the printer won’t print as it believes I am not enrolled in the HP ink subscription DESPITE them taking my fee regularly since I enrolled when I first got it AND them sending me through ink cartridges

When I purchased the shirt it was £21 in the sale PLUS p&p! The third one is £69 + P&p
To return them I will have to pay p&p for items I have not purchased! A few pounds maybe but it’s the principle

Oh my BP is up again
^If the mistakes are of their making, you do not have to pay to return the items.
Be careful on what you're buying .

You don't want to whittle that 100k away :-)
I found mentioning the Ombudsman helps focus the minds of BG and Scottish Power.
I don't use HP ink in my HP printer. Works fine.
Yesterday I received my third Radio Times for the week that ended yesterday.
I rang LLoyds from my mobile yesterday and stayed on the line for an hour. I really needed to talk to them. It cost me £17.
don't you have a contract with your mobile supplier?
or more importantly don't you have a landline? surely that wouldn't have cost so much
Far too many answers now are " We are working hard to answer your call , press 1 etc
What happened to good old Customer Service? Even Asda's CS desk won't take local calls now because of Covid ???
i haven't had too much of a problem, but tend to use the same suppliers, for gas and electric its EDF who by and large answer the phones in a reasonable time, i got them to decrease my bill last time out.
Spicerack, the Ombudsman has been involved since August
Ric.ror, who did you buy the shirts from?

Regarding the printer, as you have had it for more than six months you will have to prove there is an inherent fault with the printer if the retailer is not willing to help. As it stands you are entitled only to a repair under warranty - if HP say it can't be repaired you will be entitled to a partial refund only. You should contact the retailer in the first instance.

emmie, did you get them to reduce the cost of the energy they sell you or just a reduction in the direct debit amount?
having explained my problem to the bg rep on the chatline re the technical problem on their website, her first response was, would you like to complain?
