Following on from JTH's staycation comment on Teacake's pollution thread, where would you go in the UK? I would love to see more of Scotland, and found this

It looks fab, I've just got to convince the OH that we need a driving holiday. I'll not hold my breath.

There's a 500 miler further up north as well, but I'll have nada chance of that.

We had/have a booking for a holiday near Stirling (made for July last year....transferred with crossed-fingers to July this). This is probably more realistic than our pencilled in plans for Sorrento and Marrakesh.
Probably Cornwall , Devon or the Isle of Wight Rocky but preference is Lanzarote all the way
The Gower Coast
East Wittering was very nice, on the coast and right near Chichester.
Were lucky that we’ve seen a lot of England and Wales, and a fair bit of Scotland, but would definitely like to see more of Scotland. If our situation was different, we’d move there in a heartbeat.
My home towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. The ferries, the cliffs, the dolphins, the beaches...
Paigntonian... be advised............. Bobbi's coming to Devon ;o)
I wouldn't mind staying on Lundy. Been over there but never stayed.
I'll be wearing a Toon top Paigntonian, you canna miss me :0))
we have friends on Lewis we are hoping to stay with at easter.
Holiday on Islay for November already booked, hoping to take stepmother to Edinburgh in August and have booked a holiday in Ireland still a staycation to us for September
Norfolk but ain't gonna happen
The Isle of Anglesey, the Lakes or Seil in Scotland.
Oh oops forgot about Norfolk in july
If you come to Scotland Rocky you need to visit the west coast and highlands beautiful scenery.
Anywhere away from London would be good at the moment.
I'd advise nervous tourists to avoid the Killiecrankie-Tummel Bridge-Aberfeldy stretch.
Unless you enjoy meeting logging trucks on tight bends.

Lovely places along the way though.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we can actually visit some of these places this year. And if we do, that the weather is good to us. Ha
