1. We've just been granted planning permission, despite an objection from our neighbours.

2. I found out late last week, purely by chance, that I've been underpaid for the last 2 years on all my overtime. I'm getting all that back pay on Thursday.

3. Really excited for BM regarding her forthcoming nuptials. She deserves a happy ever after.

4. So pleased for another AB lady who has recently sealed the deal with her Mr Darcy.

5. I have a gorgeous mini-me, some great holidays to look forward to and life is looking *** amazing.

I should rename this thread Reasons To Be Overjoyed. What are your RTBC / RTBO ??

Just 8 weeks ago I was playing on my computer when I suddenly felt "not well". At that moment my wife happened to call that she had made a drink, so I went downstairs. One mouthful and I felt very sick, rushed to the toilet where I collapsed. I was taken by ambulance on "Blues and twos" to the nearest trauma hospital where it was ascertained I'd had an abdominal...

Wow! Things are looking up. :-)
It's my birthday on Saturday - that's a good enough reason for me to be cheerful!

Indeed, Tilly.

Any nice plans, Chris?
I don't have any. I`m going to be spending Easter (and the heatwave) in an airport hotel on stand by. Still, such is life.
good for you all
I am coming out I think of three months bleeeuch ( flu )
another of the family has just lost Jan - cant remember a thing - you know like being in Hospital

so I hope 2019 shines on you all

oh the buyer for a house has just resurrected ....
Mind you, I`ve got a Hong Kong trip at Whitsun and I`m taking my cousin with me on a jolly so it's not all bad.

There are worse things you could be doing, 237.
1. Back in the shire for a little bit as himself is away and so I got to return, sadly for a funeral, but lovely to be back anyway.
2. Fate conspired and I've been trusted with the most fabulous gift anyone could ever have given me and am eternally thankful to him for that.
3. Very happy too for Barmaid, she does deserve everything nice :)(and the other lady ;)
4.My Grandad who was on death's absolute door at Christmas looks fit to rule the world at the moment.
5. Looking forward to the summer.
I've not decided yet, LCG.

I had an early birthday trip to London last Friday (with a friend who lives in Italy but who was here for a while and who was treating me). We went to see the special exhibition at the National Gallery, which features the work of my favourite artist (Joaquin Sorolla) and added on the exhibition at the neighbouring National Portrait Gallery, which featured the work of my favourite living photographer (Martin Parr).

If anyone's visiting London I can highly recommend both exhibitions (as well as the excellent Thai food in the Lemon Tree, just around the corner from there).

I might go back to London on my birthday to see the Diane Arbus exhibition at the Hayward Gallery or I might find my way to the coast.

Care to elaborate on point 2 or is too early to disclose? ;)

Sounds fantastic, Chris.

I hope your actual birthday is as good as you can hope for.

Caroline.
3) I can't wait :-) Hotel booked!

Me....I'm looking at holidays. I have to wait for some blood test results first.

Other than that, not much at the moment, my uncle is being treated for throat cancer. Worrying.
I received a lovely hand written invitation from one of my cousins this morning inviting me to a Birthday bash this summer darn sarf. I haven't had a hand written letter for years.
awe sorry to hear that Ummm, my thoughts are with you. Xx
Thank you xx
Ummmm - I hope your uncle is OK
I'm a little peed off as I got a builder in to do kitchen renovations and here it is Easter week family coming and it looks like a bomb has it it.
What according to builder will only take a week has now stretched into a month.
Some days he don't come, always has an excuse , the last excuse was his daughter was in hospital. It has got to the point that I don't want him back in my house and OH can get someone else to finish off!!!
Awww I have only just seen this.

Thank you so much. This has actually cheered me up quite a bit because I am having a bit of poo time with work - plus trying to organise a wedding and feeling utterly exhausted!!!! Half past midnight and I've just finished for the day!
Good morning, BM, Have you booked the mobility scooter?
I have a lot to be grateful for - best wishes to those with upcoming good plans and a sincere wish for comfort to Ummmm's Uncle.x
