my little girl is 7 this weekend and we'd love to go away overnight somewhere and include a special treat either on sat or sun
Having a 6 month old makes it a bit trickier, so we don't want to go too far.
Can anyone suggest place to go that a 7 yo would enjoy, plus isnt too hard to get roud with a pram within an hour or so of west berkshire?
We would try to stay in a premier inn

Legoland is 38 miles from Newbury:
https://www.legoland.co.uk/
(There are two Premier Inns nearby in Slough)

Thorpe Park is 50 miles from Newbury:
https://www.thorpepark.com/
(There are several Premier Inns in the area)

Chessington World of Adventures is 60 miles from Newbury:
https://www.chessington.com/
(There's a Premier Inn in Chessington and several others nearby)

Didcot Railway Centre is 19 miles from Newbury and open this weekend for their Heritage Diesel Days:

(Premier Inn's 'Oxford South' hotel is actually located in Didcot)

Paultons Park is 43 miles from Newbury. (It would probably be my own choice to take a 7-year-old, as it's particularly aimed at younger children):

(The Southampton West Premier Inn is next door to it).
marwell zoo ?
I think Legoland will also have soft play area for little one
Legoland?
Legoland i think is a perfect place for a 7 year old. Maybe she could get her driving license?
I love Legoland but I’ve heard it’s gotten super expensive and is starting to look a bit ropey.

Thank you for suggestions so far. I have to rule out both legal and and Thorpe Park because I'm not very good at up and down rides and my husband not good at round and round rides. We would inevitably be pestered to go on them. I am a bit more sympathetic towards Paulton as 1 she could go on rides by herself and 2 there are some not bad rides that arent too vomit inducing. However we had season tickets so we've been there a lot already. Didcot seems a bit boring (sorry!) Having been forced round marwell many times as a child I'm not all that enthusiastic about going back. I am not rubbishing your ideas BTW just explaining why the aren't a good fit :)
Have you been here, bednobs?

It isn't cheap to get in, but so much there (all included), very family friendly, you can easily stay there all day.
If not too far, both Farmer Palmer's Farm Park (feeding baby animals, riding on a horse and cart and various play areas) and Monkey World (as seen on tv, rescued chimps and monkeys and play areas) are close together near Poole, Dorset.

I've taken my grandchildren to Farmer Palmer's and Monkey World and would recommend them both.
To make a weekend of it, I'd set out early on Saturday (or travel on Friday and make it a 2-night hotel stay instead of one) and head for the hovercraft terminal at Southsea. Leave your car there and take the hovercraft across to Ryde, which any 7-year-old should love. (You can take a pram on board but it has to be folded and placed in the luggage area). Spend a few hours exploring Ryde (which is a very pleasant little town) before returning on the hovercraft. Stay in the Premier Inn next to Paulton's Park overnight and visit it the park on Sunday before heading home.
I thought about Legoland, my son loved it. Buenchico provides all the info.
