all's well Jordy..might be nice getting trapped in the sunshine ! xx
I guess you change the date in the link each day
goodness !!
emeritus, thanks very much for link, I have clicked on the date 'box' and been able to check my flights later this month and into October. Pleased to say my dates show no cancellations.
People are having flights cancelled 2 days prior it would seem.
thanks for that Zacs-Master, I suppose I better check daily, don't mind the return delayed as long as I can get away !!!!
I wonder if my boss will accept" To improve my being late three times a week, I'll not come in".
Perhaps I am being a bit thick here but how is cancelling 40-50 flights per day for six weeks going to improve punctuality ?

Surely cancelling a flight will have the effect of reducing punctuality down to 0% ?
If a flight is cancelled it won't be late or early for that matter.
Well....thats one way of improving the companies image and record I suppose.....

"book and flight with RyanAir, and we will cancel it with only a few days notice"
I guess that if the flight doesn't run Mikey, it isn't counted in the league tables.

It seems that they are more interested in being high up the tables than actually giving good service to people who have already paid.

Mind you they discovered a while ago that no matter how badly they treat people, they keep getting plenty of people willing to book.
//"We have operated a record schedule and traffic numbers during the peak summer months of July and August but must now allocate annual leave to pilots and cabin crew in September and October while still running the bulk of our summer schedule.

"By cancelling less than 2% of our flying programme over the next six weeks, until our winter schedule starts in early November, we can improve the operational resilience of our schedules and restore punctuality to our annualised target of 90%."//

Never heard such nonsense disguised as a supposed company "statement". Something very amiss here. Why not fulfill these flights and rearrange the Winter schedule timetable to give staff time off?

Sounds like someone badly miscalculated how many staff they needed to operate the programme, or didn't work out how many staff they could give leave to at a time.
You can say that again Hopkirk. The shysters should be rearranging the Winter schedule so that people have time to make alternative plans. If I had a booking with Ryanair I would be making other arrangements. Not to be trusted.
Thanks goodness I don't fly any more !
hmmm, watching for my Wednesday flight...
