Renfrewshire Cab Co have over 500 cars, so they'll almost certainly have some women drivers. Phone them on 0141 887 7770 to see what they can do.

Most taxi companies worth their salt these days will have women drivers - just phone and make a regular booking and ask for them.
I don't think a female only Taxi service would be legal. (discrimination etc )
Most Taxi firms have quite a few female drivers, why not ask if she can have a lady driver.
I think there are female only taxi companies, Eddie.
they do seem to exist, Eddie

I can't help with the OP, though, sorry

Ok thanks there are females only Taxi firms.
One of the ones mentioned operates as a 'car club' so gets around the sex discrimination laws that way, how does the other one manage it?
I can see a hell of a row if someone tried to operate a Male only taxi or a white people only taxi!
The obvious answer is still to just ask the taxi company for a lady driver. My next door neighbour is a lady taxi driver and customers often ask for her, the taxi firm have 8 female drivers so there is always one available.
Just to add, I spoke to my next door neighbour the female taxi driver. She said that her Taxi firm often gets a request for a female driver and they always are more than happy to help.
She should also check if there's a local good neighbour scheme. They will be able to offer lady drivers who will also, generally, be far more helpful than taxi drivers.
I was reading through this thread and just realised that I have never in my life got in a taxi where the driver was female. My sister is a bus driver and I see quite a few other women bus drivers, train driver - rarely, taxi never.
