Has anyone had any problems renewing their passes, and how long did you wait to recieve it in the post?
I never do any on line stuff and certainly not any good at it.

Just used the trafficking link and finally it said that card approved and awaiting dispatch!

Heck, its being a long time coming. Do you reckon I've sorted it?

Is this one that you pay for? Our concessionary passes are renewed automatically with no action on our part required

Jackdaw, ours are free, and wish we didnt have to renew it, wished it just appeared on our doorstep, but understand they have to check that we are genuine.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'card approved' if it is free. That suggested to me that you were using a payment card. If you have already been issued with a concessionary pass they must know you are genuine else you wouldn't have got it in the first place. I am confused. Ours are issued on a five year basis and when five years are up another one pops through the letterbox.
As per Jackdaw

Sorry, forgot to say it is a Freedom pass.
I still don't see why it cannot be renewed automatically, unless they want to check that you are still alive. I presume it carries your name and a photo so that it cannot be misused.
That's the London-based one covering bus and rail isn't it ? Can't help in that case, sorry.

A letter to me says "Renew your older persons Freedom Pass now"
Going on memory (retired a couple of years ago), Freedom Passes expire on 31st March, so as you can imagine quite a few passes need to be produced and despatched. When the backlog is too great TfL extend the life of the current pass until the new one arrives.

Baza, I hope hope your right in what you say! Maybe I'm panicking a bit too much. I will now wait patiently untill it arrives. many thanks to you and all replies. Cheers everyone

I have a similar Freedom pass to yours. Filled out the form some time ago.

It's only just arrived. They are not automatically renewed because they have to make sure your still alive!
