we prefer the north side of the island a lot more quiet than the south which caters for the younger crowd and its very lush and scenic unlike the dry south end, check out

Are you looking a one week or two? Also, where do you plan to fly from?
Hi Tez, We stopped in the Bitacora ?? Americas in May, that was good, we have just returned from Americas again this time at the Colubus?? if these are spelt right before the Spelling Police put me right, have a look on Trip Advisor for some tips, but do not take everyone's comments seriously, there are a lot of moaners on there as well!!
I stayed all-inclusive at the Riu Buena Vista last November, it was a lovely hotel.

I would recommend the Barcelo Santiago in Puerto Santiago, a lovely resort on the west coast, approx 40 min from airport. Beautiful pools, great food and good location - not too busy in March. There's a bar across the road (Route 66) which has live entertainment most nights. (Ask for a room away from the road!)
what sort of holiday do you like? Loud and clubby, quiet and beautiful? Los Gigantes is nice, on the west coast. We stay in the south near the airport, it's nice and quiet there, but we timeshare rather than stay in a hotel.
I'm rather envious. Hope you enjoy the lovely sunshine.
