When You're Waiting For A Bus...

is it better when there are other bus services passing along the same road or is it better when yours is the only one?
In other words, do you feel more cheerful when a bus emerges in the distance, even though it's probably not the route number that you want so it's another false alarm; or is it better on a stretch where the bus service that you're waiting for is the only one that comes that way?
Obviously, the frequency is not affected by how busy the road is, but I prefer it busier, even when most of the buses will be false alarms and no good to me.

The annoying thing is that I sometimes wait for the 116 and the "other" bus is the H26. From a distance they look similar. As the bus draws near and it is wrong bus you have to change from - about to stick your arm out - to looking nonchalent and disinterested........

No, I find it more annoying when it's not my bus in the distance - I just want mine.
I can't remember which decade it was the last time I caught a bus.
I go out for a bus according to the timetable. I care not a fig if any other bus comes first. I really don't understand the point of this question.

It's a question of whether the wait for the bus seems to pass more quickly. You seem to be saying that you don't really care or notice, which is fair enough.

I prefer it when other buses are using the route because my body releases chemicals that make me excited when I see a bus on the horizon, and this brings additional points of interest to the bus waiting experience that I would not get if there were only one bus.
Depends whether there's anyone on it willing to let you sing peppa pig songs.
I had a funny Peppa Pig experience on the tube last week. Little girl opposite was Peppa fan and mum was telling people opposite side of carriage (next to me) about it. Very unBritish to actually talk to each other I know!
They got talking about Miss Rabbit, and her many roles. I then looked up out of my newspaper and added - Miss Rabbit is also in charge of the recycling and they were laughing..... At end of journey we were all saying goodbye to each other.

Better stick to the tube, Grasscarp. Sounds like happier experiences than waiting for the bus when the "lookalike" may come along as a test of self-consciousness.
I check my bus due time online so I know when it's coming.
ha ha Bil.
Life's too short for me to even contemplate this.
