Whereabouts in Thailand are you trying to get to? Bangkok? Chiang Mai? Phuket? Or somewhere else? (Knowing that might help with finding out who flies there, and where from, so that possible routes can be investigated and fares examined).

I'm assuming that you're starting from Jersey, so the first leg of your flight could (I assume) be out via somewhere like Paris CDG or Amsterdam (using Blue Islands), which might be easier than going via London (as you'd probably have to get from either Gatwick or Stansted to Heathrow). Is that correct?
I think the air tax is cheaper from France than it is the UK, so as Chico says, flying from Paris might be cheaper.
Trailfinders are very good, flown to Thailand with them many times over the years, tel; 020 7938 3939
You've chosen high season in Thailand, so you may not get bargains. Also, bear in mind the political situation there is fragile, especially if the King were to die.
Is the king ill?
Try www.skyscanner.com they bring up several airlines with the cheapest flights. I always use them for long haul
Skycanner is indeed a good site but I've often been able to find better prices than Skyscanner does by doing things the od-fashioned way. (i.e. by considering all available routes and checking fares with the relevant airlines). That's partly because many airlines now block the technology that Skyscanner uses to search their websites.

But if Information doesn't want to reveal her travel plans, I won't be able to help :(
The king of Thailand is 86 and has been in fragile health for a number of years. His only son is unpopular, to say the least, probably because of his alleged playboy lifestyle and various scandals with which he has been connected - or not. There may be a power vacuum when the king dies, as many of the population would prefer almost anyone to the Crown Prince.
