We would like to book a cruise for our anniversary. We have been on a P&O cruise and a Celebrity cruise. We have seen one that sounds really good on Norweigen Cruise line on a ship called Norweigen Jade, but dont know anything about this cruise line. Does anyone know anything about this cruise line and would you recommend them or not. Thank you.

No......haven't been on it BUT:Best suited for youthful adult couples, single passengers and families with CHILDREN and TEENAGERS.
Upbeat surroundings (noisy) bars and a wide range of entertainment bars and high tech sophistication.

Not my scene.......but maybe yours.
We cruise frequently and we use Norwegian Cruise Line. I would heartily recommend them for all sorts of reasons. What we like is the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the ship and the quality of the entertainment.
We tend to use the Speciality restaurants on the ship but you don' t have to wear evening suits and evening dresses to dine in them. Smart clothing is required but nothing too stuffy.
As with all cruise ships the excursions are expensive but they are always very well organised and interesting.

We have been on Norwegian Jade twice but I can' t remember which cruises they were. Where are you going?
Warning - cruises are bad for your figure. The food is too good.
Don't let sqad's comments put you off. The ships are not overun with children and teenagers and the bars are not loud and brash. Go, you'll enjoy it.

Thanks for your replies. This cruise starts off in Venice and stops at various places in Greece. It sounds very interesting and we haven't been to any of the plces it stops at.
That's the cruise we did last year, flutter but we did a back to back two weeks and so we went to Turkey and Croatia as well.
The sail out of the harbour in Venice, up the Grand Canal, is wonderful.
There's plenty of information (plus 622 reviews from passengers) on the excellent CruiseCritic website:

I dunno, Tilly - I hated looking down on Venice like that. And we weren't even on a big ship; the one in front was half as high again. There were plans to limit the number of ships coming into the lagoon, but I think they've been put on hold.
