I always overpack! What would people recommend I take for me and my 18 month old? Don't want hefty baggage charges either! Especially as I'm taking about 20 packets of Bourbon biscuits over for family that live there! Any advice much appreciated x

Check the weather to see what type of clothes you will need... If you are going to be staying somewhere with access to a washing machine, you need only take 4-5 days worth of clothing, and you can wash and wear again. It's a long flight, make sure you have snacks and stuff for the journey. Is it a night flight? Hopefully child will sleep. Good luck and have a great time.
Going to Australia - don't forget all food must be declared - including Bourbons!
Singapore's hot. Australia, it depends where and when you're going. Why not ask the family for local advice? australians dress casually - the only dress code for the Sydney Opera House is "wear shoes".
I would check that it is ok to take the food in first, before packing it as Australia are very strict about what they allow in to their country, you don't want to have to carry it all that way only to have it taken off you

You can take bourbons.. They take them every year when they go back home.. It's going to be rather warm.. And I have no intention of washing clothes while I'm there....
If it's going to be rather warm, and you have no intention of doing washing, then you need to pack 2 weeks worth of clothing for warm weather!
