Important information if you are going to Turkey, from the 10th April 2014 you wont be able to get your visa from the airport, the practice of issuing affixed/stamped visa's at the boarder gates will finish on that date and will be totally replaced by the e-visa system, so this means you will need to get your e-visa online before you go, here is the link

The cost is going up from £10 to $US20.

There's the odd report around that it's £69 (yes) - I think that that is either deliberate misinformation or someone being thick

Going to get mine soon so I'll post how much it costs me.
I must have been an illegal immigrant, when I wandered round Istanbul when on a cruise I never had a visa at all.............

The cost is £12, which is the normal price for a e-visa, and craft1948 you don't need a visa if you visit from a cruise if you only tour in the respective port city of Turkey (You will be given a permission by local border police authorities to enter Turkey).
Cheers ferret....
