For the last few weeks I have listened to a song on the radio that I believed was Bonnie Tyler's Eurovision entry, "I believe" or some such title. I thought what a lovely song it was, and why are people knocking it ?

I discovered just now that I have actually been listening to, and loving, the latest single from Agnetha, ex-Abba blonde, singing "When you love someone."

Shame, cos Agnetha's song would be a sure-fire winner. She should represent us, but then, I suppose she is Swedish.... But since when has the representative of the country had to be of the same nationality?

Since never I suspect. The songs used to have to be in the language of the country, but sadly that went by the board years ago.

It's certainly not the same as it was in the 70's...
No indeed. Now the whole of Europe (give or take a Czech Republic or two) takes part.
Actuaqlly maybe the Czechs are in it this year. I haven't Czeched.
They Serbently are.
I have now "looked" and sad to say the Czech Republic will once again be absent.
