Assistance At Palma Airport For Elderly?

my dad recently fell and badly hurt his hip and back,he now struggles to walk too far and am a bit concerned about our holiday to majorca in june as i remember the palma airport having the really long walk from plane to cases,i always see people having lifts on them golf buggy things,i contacted jet2 who said i should have prebooked assistance when booking flights,should i contact palma airport?thanks..
